bootybarre® is a fun, energetic, workout that fuses techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. It is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with an added cardiovascular element utilizing the barre.
We focus on proper bio mechanics for a safe and well structured class that can be modified for any fitness level. bootybarre® was created by celebrity trainer Tracey Mallett in 2009, who has taken it to over 25 different countries and taught thousands of instructors who now teach bootybarre® in studios and spas globally.

Beginners are always welcome! Each class has many different levels and I will give lots of modifications on how to make the exercise harder for those that want a push, or a little easier, for those just starting out. If you are still intimidated, attend one of my “Breaking Down the Barre” workshops that I hold every other month. It’s a slower paced instructional class that explains the particular movement in more detail.
Compared to classes like aerobics, Zumba, spinning or other Barre classes, at BootyBarre each move has been intelligently designed. I take the time with each individual when and if needed during class to ensure you are executing the moves correctly and safely. You are not just another person in the room!
At BootyBarre by Laura, you can expect to:
• Tone your muscles without looking bulky…these moves will provide long, lean muscles and abs of steel!
• Trim your hips, thighs and buns while sculpting core, abs and back
• Boost your fat burn and heart rate with short cardio intervals – a very important step for overall fitness
• Have fun! Ballet and dance inspired moves with high energy music. And no, you don’t need any dance experience to take this class, although at times you’ll feel like a Rockette or a prima ballerina.
• Work in neutral spine so you aren’t stressing too much on your low back or hip flexors. You are evenly using your core and stabilizers through the moves, very unique to this method.
If you have been active prior to you becoming pregnant, than yes, you can take BootyBarre with no issues. I will show modification for abdominal work and cardiovascular moves for you as you go along your pregnancy so you and your baby are perfectly safe! If you are just beginning to workout in general after finding out you are pregnant, I would advise you wait to try my class until after delivery. Before starting any new activity, I strongly encourage your doctor’s approval.
Just water! I provide all other equipment. If you prefer you own mat, that is fine. Occasionally, I will ask you to bring sticky socks for when we use the bands at the barre. This is always announced ahead of time. I have some available for purchase or any socks with grips on the bottom will be fine. Otherwise, the class is done in bare feet or sticky socks.
60 full minutes. A short warm up, followed by upper body strengthening, then straight to the barre for leg and hip work, with light cardio thrown in. Finishing up with core and back exercises, and stretching, you will get your money’s worth for sure.
You’ll see quicker results when you are coming 2-3 times per week. Stay tuned for more additions to our schedule.
